The most difficult part of birth is the first year afterwards.

WHAT IS POSTPARTUM?
“Postpartum” simply refers to the time following the birth of a baby. The first 12 weeks after delivery are referred to as “the 4th trimester” and are considered an extension of pregnancy when the birthing person is healing from delivery.
Most birthing people in the United States receive only one 15 minute postpartum visit with their provider approximately 6 weeks after delivery - this is wholly insufficient.
The Postpartum Midwife provides support, community, education, and mentoring for all birthing individuals and those who journey with them during pregnancy and through the first 12 weeks after your baby arrives.
Meet the Midwife
Hi there, I’m Lynn.
I am a midwife, women’s health nurse practitioner, perinatal mental health specialist, and mom of 4 wild “babies” who aren’t quite babies anymore. My experience after years of mothering and midwifing have shown me just how inadequate our healthcare system is when it comes to postpartum care. Care should not stop when the baby arrives. Birthing families deserve support as they navigate postpartum.

Jackie F. Says...
“If I had known before what I know now, I would have prepared more for postpartum than for birth”
All are welcome here.
We will use inclusive language and we will serve all birthing and postpartum individuals and families regardless of how they identify and whom they call family. The word “family” will be used to mean anyone who is supporting the birthing person on their journey.
