The GEORGIA BIRTHWORKER ALLIANCE

our mission

pregnant woman holding belly in grey dress in georgia

The Georgia Birth Worker Alliance strives to improve outcomes for birthing families by empowering birth workers to grow and feel confident through community, networking, support, education, resources, and the opportunity to grow a robust referral list.

This diverse community of birth workers from all over Georgia is working together to improve maternal health outcomes because birthing people and families in Georgia deserve better. The Alliance is here for everyone who cares for pregnant and postpartum clients in the state of Georgia. Even though our healthcare system is very segmented, we know that birth work does not happen in a bubble. We are better together!

When we work together we can change the culture of birth.

coaching for birth workers:

One individual consult via Zoom ($97)

Schedule a consult for career coaching or if you have experienced the unique trauma of witnessing a difficult or traumatic birth. I have been around birth as a NICU nurse, L&D nurse, and midwife since 2008. I understand how difficult this work can be and would love to provide a safe, supportive space for you to begin to process your experience and feel confident stepping back into the birth space.

Katie G. Says

“I really appreciated being able to debrief with you. You helped me process everything that happened, validated how I was feeling, and then gave me concrete actions so that I could better advocate for my clients in a similar situation in the future. You brought a lot of perspective to my experience and I am grateful for how you empowered me to keep growing as a birth worker”
